Treaty of Alliance between the Kingdom of England and the Grand Duchy of Bretagne
I. Purpose
This Treaty hereby establishes a unifying Alliance between the Kingdom of England and the Grand Duchy of Bretagne and declares a mutual bond of community, security, and prosperity. It will, therefore, outline the details of, and commit these Allied Parties to, intelligence sharing, mutual support, mutual defence, and military and naval aid. By the signature of this treaty, the lawfully-seated parties shall respect all the articles hereafter and shall take all reasonable actions to maintain this alliance.
II. Political Harmony
1. Dialogue - Talks
The appropriate leadership and/or their representatives (i.e. Monarch/Grand Duke/Duke, Chancellors, Ambassadors, Naval and Military Leaders) will meet regularly inside the embassy in order to discuss relevant issues, such as their policies, that of their neighbours and any subject placed on the meeting’s agenda by either party. A secure room shall be maintained for the Allied Parties to host private talks related to intelligence and other such security matters.
2. Non-Aggression
Both parties agree not to knowingly participate in or sanction a course of action that will damage the other party or, whether directly or indirectly, destabilise or overthrow the lawful political order or economic order of the other.
III. Military and Naval Support
The Kingdom of England and the Grand Duchy of Bretagne shall support each other where possible without placing their own sovereign territories in jeopardy. To that end, both Allied Parties pledge the following support:
a) Mutual diplomatic, land and naval intelligence that enhances security, internally and foreign, to both parties (including any and all lists identifying rogue and/or non-allied hostile armies, pirates and/or ships that may be sunk, ship sightings, patrol information, and ships that have been sunk)
b) Aid in the form of prestige to an army (approved by the appropriate leader of the territory providing the prestige);
c) Military aid in the form of army support (soldiers, retinues and armies with experienced commanders); and
d) Naval aid in the form of ships and crew (battleships, experienced captains and sailors)
The above conditions are subject to feasibility, availability and mutual acceptance from both parties.
IV. Conflict
1. Both parties promise not to enter into war with another territory without first consulting the appropriate representatives of the other party.
2. Where a party enters into war, the aggressive party shall provide notification of any related naval/land battles to ensure the safety of civilian and merchant ships and non-combatant citizens belonging to the other party. All attempts will be made to provide civilian and merchant ships with an escort of stronger ships, if they still wish to sail, and any non-combatant citizen with assistance and protection in evacuating the war zone.
3. Where both parties enter into war, the secure room as stated in Article II shall be utilised for the coordination of joint military operations.
V. Neutrality
If either Allied Party enters into, or is already engaged in, hostilities with a territory with whom the other Allied Party has a friendship, non-aggression, intelligence or alliance treaty, the non-aggressive ally shall reserve the right to neutrality in the conflict.
VI. Economic Assistance
When needed, an Allied Party ("requesting party ") may submit a request to the other Allied Party ("requested party") for assistance with supplies (food, building materials, weaponry). Where it is feasible and acceptable to the requested party's appropriate authorities (i.e. English county councils), the requested party shall arrange transportation of whatever supplies can be gathered without hindering their local economy to assist the other Allied Party.
VII. Disputes
Should any disputes arise between the Allied Parties, both parties agree to attempt to settle such disputes exclusively via friendly communications or, if necessary, through mutually agreed upon arbitration.
VIII. Changes to the Treaty
This treaty may be changed upon discussion in a meeting of the Allied Parties, with acceptance and the signatures from the appropriate authorities within both parties.
IX. Cancellation of the Treaty
Should either the Kingdom of England or the Grand Duchy of Bretagne wish to cancel this Alliance, it is necessary for the requesting party to write an official declaration in accordance with their laws and to send a copy to the other party's officials. The treaty will be considered annulled the day the declaration is received by the officials of the other party.
X. Translation
This Treaty of Alliance between the Kingdom of England and the Grand Duchy of Bretagne is written in English and Breton. Both versions will be considered valid and correct; however, the version written in the main language of the respective country shall always be considered legal and usable in the Courts of Law of that country.

I. Objectif
